It was wonderful to be included in Issue Two (December) of UNEMPLOYED magazine – a poster like niche print publication that will be offered on a biannual basis and featuring some of the best emerging photographers and artists.
The theme of the shoot was women 40+ that were involved in the Kink/BDSM scene. My gorgeous friend Caritia joined me in the shoot that used the ‘old school’ technology of film… 27 rolls in total!!
The first time I landed in Europe at the age of 20, I felt like I had arrived at ‘home’, and that feeling only got stronger with every subsequent visit. What I didn’t know at the time, was which city in Europe, I’d eventually adopt as my new home.
In November 2013 I decided to travel to Berlin to attend a week long ‘BDSM and Breath Work” workshop at Schwelle7 to explore my growing curiosity and fascination in all things Kink/BDSM related. It was at this workshop that I connected and became friends with so many likeminded people and fell in love with the city of Berlin. I cried when I had to return to Australia at the end of my 3 week visit.
I couldn’t get Berlin and my new friends out of my system, so I decided to return again in 2014 and stay for 7 weeks. This time, also attending my first Porn Film Festival Berlin, as two of our films were selected for the program. I cried again and didn’t want to leave when it was time to return to Australia.
Today I’m boarding my flight to Berlin but this time on a one way ticket…to be welcomed by my beautiful friend and new housemate Caritia when I arrive.

I couldn’t think of a more appropriate way to celebrate National Masturbation Month, than by shooting my first solo scene for Bright Desire the site of Australian multi award winning film maker Ms Naughty.
Ms Naughty and her partner Luke also happen to be wonderful friends of mine too. There’s always a risk of putting a strain on your friendship when you ask a friend to work for you or with you. This was not the case with this shoot. It felt more like a day out with friends, playing (un)dress-ups…so relaxed, so much fun and so much laughter.
Our short documentary …’It’s My Birthday And I’ll fly If I Want To’ is scheduled to screen on Sunday May 17 in the Cinekink best of program at the inaugural Holy Fuck Film Festival-Amsterdam. Seriously thrilled that we can say “HOLY FUCK” if anyone asks where this documentary has been screened!
