I was invited to participate in the “Porn Stars” episode of ABC’s You Can’t Ask That. I was excited to be able to dispel some of the common myths and misconceptions about working in porn to such a wide audience.
On the day of the shooting I decided to wear my fanciest dress, a black velour number with feathers and a bespoke feathered fascinator. To top it off I wore my signature red lips. I caught a taxi to the ABC studio and was rather nervous for what lay ahead. At the studio, I completed my security pass before meeting with the crew.
The studio was just a chair for me to sit on and a blank white background. I told them that I was nervous and the crew were wonderful at putting me at ease. The next 2 hours it was holding a conversation with the director and answering the selected questions of the audience. I was exhausted and relieved by the end of shooting. The episode has now been edited and is ready to air on Wednesday 29 June. Fingers crossed I did a good job of it. After our screening, we found out that we were actually getting an encore screening, which was incredibly exciting.
After all was said and done I am ready for a bloody good nap.
