Only if you’ve lived in Australia your entire life, will you appreciate the awesomeness and novelty that I felt, when I woke up in Berlin and said to a friend “Oh, I’m just off to a meeting in Barcelona!”

I was one of 4 female film makers invited to meet with Sandra Torres from Thagson (Spains largest producer and distributer of Porn) to discuss a proposal to work on a feature film they were wanting to produce.

I felt desperately in need of a siesta after the magnificent white wine and seafood lunch. My cabin bag is filled with a swag of dvd’s, courtesy from Thagson.

I’m excited and looking forward to seeing what eventuates from this meeting.

 

What an amazing experience!

I was called in at the last minute to replace a German actor, that had pulled out just before shooting was to start, to perform in a The Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB) student film…’Extage X’. The student and director Francy Fabritz had a crew of 20 and we were all exhausted after the challenging four x 12-14 hours days of shooting. It was a joy to co-perform with the gorgeous and professional Eva Medusa.

Eva Medusa and I were treated like ‘stars’, with our own personal drivers, assistants and the daily catering was just spectacular.

 

It was wonderful to be included in Issue Two (December) of UNEMPLOYED magazine – a poster like niche print publication that will be offered on a biannual basis and featuring some of the best emerging photographers and artists.

The theme of the shoot was women 40+ that were involved in the Kink/BDSM scene. My gorgeous friend Caritia joined me in the shoot that used the ‘old school’ technology of film… 27 rolls in total!!

A great afternoon and lots of fun!

The first time I landed in Europe at the age of 20, I felt like I had arrived at ‘home’, and that feeling only got stronger with every subsequent visit. What I didn’t know at the time, was which city in Europe, I’d eventually adopt as my new home.

In November 2013 I decided to travel to Berlin to attend a week long ‘BDSM and Breath Work” workshop at Schwelle7  to explore my growing curiosity and fascination in all things Kink/BDSM related. It was at this workshop that I connected and became friends with so many likeminded people and fell in love with the city of Berlin. I cried when I had to return to Australia at the end of my 3 week visit.

I couldn’t get Berlin and my new friends out of my system, so I decided to return again in 2014 and stay for 7 weeks. This time, also attending my first Porn Film Festival Berlin, as two of our films were selected for the program. I cried again and didn’t want to leave when it was time to return to Australia.

Today I’m boarding my flight to Berlin but this time on a one way ticket…to be welcomed by my beautiful friend and new housemate Caritia when I arrive.

 

So thrilled that ‘Happy Birthday Mistress‘, a vignette from our feature film ‘A Call For Help’ and our short documentary “It’s My Birthday And I’ll Fly If I Want To” will both be screening at Nachtschatten BDSM/Fetisch Film Festival, in Munich 19-25 June. The stunning Domina Vex is one Mistress whose birthday you don’t want to overlook lightly. A big shout out to Anna Brownfield – Director and Cinematographer for ‘A Call For Help’.

 

I couldn’t think of a more appropriate way to celebrate National Masturbation Month, than by shooting my first solo scene for Bright Desire the site of Australian multi award winning film maker Ms Naughty.

Ms Naughty and her partner Luke also happen to be wonderful friends of mine too. There’s always a risk of putting a strain on your friendship when you ask a friend to work for you or with you. This was not the case with this shoot.  It felt more like a day out with friends, playing (un)dress-ups…so relaxed, so much fun and so much laughter.

Our short documentary …’It’s My Birthday And I’ll fly If I Want To’ is scheduled to screen on Sunday May 17 in the Cinekink best of program at the inaugural Holy Fuck Film Festival-Amsterdam. Seriously thrilled that we can say “HOLY FUCK” if anyone asks where this documentary has been screened!
