Of course Josie and I wouldn’t risk becoming both bored and boring!
With a mutual love of all things cultural and historical, Paris was the city to be in, when work finishes and ‘play’ starts.
It was sticky, sweet and really, really, really FUN!
Finished shooting our next film ‘Having My Cake’, and what a delicious shoot it was! It hardly seemed like work when you have such an enchanting and captivating collaborator as Bishop Black on board and savvy pants Josie Hess in charge of cinematography.
Conducting Red Carpet Interviews, networking, socialising with fascinating people in the film industry and ‘surviving’ the nerve wracking experience of watching The European Premiere screening and Q&A of our short documentary ‘It’s My Birthday And I’ll Fly If I Want To’ was all part and parcel when attending the ÉCU Film Festival. We had the added bonus of attending a fabulous workship by Gareth Jones, discussing trends in financing and budgeting Independent films and International Sales.
Exhausting but an incredibly smooth and fun weekend of shooting our new film ‘I Am Whole’ was all made possible by the ‘dream team’ of crew and performers. Big thank you’s to Josie Hess for all of her meticulous work in preparing and organising this successful shoot-I’m always impressed and rather turned on by Josie’s colour coded shot lists. Cinematographer Michelle Flynn joined the crew, and gave depth to our team, with her talent and experience-the only downside when working with Michelle, is that I’d rather not work but hang out with this fun and spunky friend. Krackerjak took some time off from his professional wrestling gigs to come on board as our audio guy, but ended up providing us with so much more…such as birds eye view shots and technical advice for the ‘fight play’ scene. Last but definitely not least…two incredible performers Kim Cums and Rob Paulson. Both highly professional and an absolute delight to work with…not to mention damn hot…did I mention they were both hot???
I recently had a fun age positive photoshoot with my talented and gorgeous friend Eva – writer and blogger from Deliciously Bad. Looking forward to our future collaborations which will be sexy, saucy and salacious…topped with a sprinkling of our mischievous sense of humour.

Although my talented cohort ( Editor, DOP and Web Content Manager) in film making Josie Hess likes to keep a low profile, as she tirelessly works behind the scenes to help make my vision a reality…I’ve convinced her to join me in attending the ÉCU Film Festival, where our short documentary has been selected to screen.
We’re planning to shoot a fun, fanciful, decadent film with some bourgeois elements during our Paris visit, taking in as much culture, history and gastronomy that Paris has to offer and of course, schmoozing at the ÉCU film festival…
I was completely overwhelmed and on the verge of tears, when ‘It’s My Birthday And I’ll Fly If I Want To’, was announced winner Best Short Documentary at CineKink NYC. Following the Awards Ceremony, the After Glow Party commenced and it was a wonderful way to end my first attendance at this incredible event.
Attending CineKink NYC Film Festival was on my bucket, so I couldn’t think of any better excuse to attend this year, when it was announced that two of my films were selected to be screened. ‘A Call For Help’ and most exciting of all, the world premiere screening of my short documentary ‘It’s My Birthday And I’ll Fly If I Want To’.
It was a fun and fabulous event, with an array of great films to watch, special events, workshops and parties to attend. Meeting Erotic Film Pioneer Candida Royalle, then standing on the same stage with her as we conducted our Q&A, was a personal highlight for me.
Lisa Vandever and her team, must be congratulated for all their hard work, putting together such a fine programme and event. Worth putting it in your calendar to attend…I can’t recommend it highly enough!
