Morgana was featured as one of 10 women in Nat Ord’s new exhibition, Rise! 

Standing tall in vast and varied fields from community service and environment, to sport and entertainment, the women celebrated in Nat Ord’s environmental portraits have pushed boundaries and paved ways in their quest for voice, recognition and success. Morgana was also interviewed for the Border Mail along with some of the other subjects.

Wow, Rituals + Worship has been selected for another festival. We have been fans of the London Porn Film Festival since it began. Its commitment to accessibility is hugely encouraging. This year, we are lucky enough to have been selected and will be screened as part of the following session:

We’re not taking it lying down 

Time to rise up! Britain’s draconian censorship laws – made even worse with the addition of unsafe, data-mining age checks this year – are hitting hard against the queer porn scene. That makes our whole festival a political protest at its core, but this programme zooms in on films that directly deal with the politics of porn itself. Channeling sex workers’ realities, challenges to the hegemony of commercial porn and raucous pornoanarchic protests, this a call to join us and take on the censorship laws head-on!

Rituals + worship, our short doco featuring Caritia is having its world premiere this summer in Italy at Fish & Chips Film Festival in Torino. This sex positive festival which has their mission statement: “We believe in eroticism as a basic need of human beings and we want to show sex from different points of view, be they psychological, physical or social, but in any case liberating and non-discriminatory” which we love.

Recently I blogged about how the documentary about my life came to be.  Now the girls making it (Josie  Hess and Isabel Peppard) have gotten their website up and running. Morganadocumentary.com is live, it houses a bunch of information on the documentary project for those of you interested to know more.

We also recently were covered by the ABC in an article about myself and Josie and the documentary project ‘Morgana’ – how incestuous ;)

Josie and I are still pushing forward with our newest project Ritual & Worship, which has been on the back burner for a while as we prepare other projects. We sat down together yesterday to watch the newest cut and I am really excited to bring another unique representation of BDSM to the world when it comes out.

Slowly but surely we are working on our future projects as well. I have a bunch of fabulous ideas I want to explore in the coming years. You’ll have to stay tuned…

It’s a good question, what is ethical porn? we’ve used the term to describe our work here at P4P for a while because we have always made content with a strong set of ethics, only in the last few years has an identifiable movement emerged that we feel confident putting our name behind.

We were recently approached by Coleen Singer, a writer, columnist and longtime adult industry advocate who was working on a new project. Ethical.porn is a website dedicated to providing a platform for complex, critical, ongoing discussion of “ethical” as it pertains to adult content production.

For us it ends up being mostly about the production and what goes on during production, ensuring safe and fair working conditions for cast and crew, an emphasis on positive consent and an awareness about the limits of performativity in film.

We think this is a fantastic idea to launch a site that’s explicit purpose is to expand the conversation about this growing movement. We were happy to lend our voice to the chorus of people who are debating what exactly ethical porn means? The Toronto International Porn awards have wrapped and they were a raging success.

Our good friend Ms Naughty became the Porn Indie Icon, check out her blog about it here.  Aussie legend Anna Brownfield got the award for Best Direction of an Original Concept for The Bedroom. Plus many other incredible winners, check out the list on the TIPF website (a great way to find new indie porn)

Best news is, our film Having My Cake won best Fetish Film which is an incredible honour. It also stars the newly crowned heartthrob of the year Bishop Black. He has been smashing it lately, he certainly smashed cake in our film.
